USA imports of Textiles are Shrinking - Recent data on Imports of Apparels & Terxtiles in USA , published by OTEXA for the Year-to-Date May (YTD) 2010 have shown increment of 7.9 % in value term (US $ Millions) and of 15.6 % in volume term (Square Metre Equivalent)  over same period of 2009.

Indian Textiles imports in USA see degrowth in Volume with low price realization :  USA imports of Total Textiles and Apparel from India increased by a robust pace of 18% , notably  6% of positive growth for Apparel and while 25%  growth  for non-apparel category,  in volume terms for YTD  May 2010 over same period of  2009. However this growth is small , of around 11% for overall textiles and apparel imports in value terms due to low price realization especially in apparel categories.
