The Foundation has been giving Annual Award to the Textile Mills for excellence in different areas of their working. For the year 2008-09, the Trustees decided that the Award be given for “Cost Reduction by the Textile Mills”. Accordingly, applications for the Award were invited from the mills directly and also through Member Associations of the CITI. A Jury was constituted for the selection of the Winner for the Award. |

A meeting of the Jury to decide the winner for the Award for Cost Reduction by the Textile Mills in the year 2008-09, was held on September 01, 2009, in CITI’s New Delhi Office. The meeting was presided over by Dr. A.N. Desai, Director, BTRA, Mumbai. The following were present in the meeting: |

After taking into account all the aspects, the Jury unanimously decided that the Award for “Cost Reduction by the Textile Mills” for the year 2008-09, should be given to M/s. Premier Mills Pvt. Ltd. |

The award consisting of a cheque for Rs.2 lakh and a citation was presented to M/s. Premier Mills Pvt. Ltd. by Shri R.K. Dalmia, Chairman, CITI in Annual General Meeting of CITI held on 18th September 2009 in ‘Rooftop’, Hotel Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai. |
